Exchange Program 2025-26

Selection is based on merit evaluation, taking into consideration the following elements:

  • Academic Performance: based on credit-weighted average.
  • Individual Assessment: based on a video interview and Curriculum Vitae.

Each applicant will be assigned an Overall Score, which combines their Academic Performance Score and their Individual Assessment Score.

Academic Performance Score

The Academic Performance Score is calculated taking into consideration the following elements:

  • Number of credits earned (NC) divided by the maximum number of credits that can be earned (MAX NC)

The calculation of credits thus includes all the exams of the 1st year - 1st semester - study plan officially taken by February 1st, 2025 (included), end of the ordinary exam session. Courses subdivided in modules will be considered as separated courses for the minimum academic requirements and exchange score calculation;
Exams which are not part of the 1st year - 1st semester study plan (internship, languages, anticipated exams and anticipated curricular supplementary activities) are not included.

Individual Assessment Score

The Individual Assessment Score is ranged from 0 to 1 with decimal values and it is determined by the Degree Program Director's office.
It is calculated taking into consideration the following elements:

The Curriculum Vitae must be uploaded on Punto Blu during the Exchange Program application period, from February 26, 2025 to March 4, 2025 at 3 pm.
The Video Interview must be submitted through an online platform from February 19, 2025, until the Exchange Program application deadline on March 4, 2025 at 3 pm.

Detailed instructions on how to access the platform and upload the Video Interview will be sent via email to all 1st-year IM Global Experience students approximately one week before the portal opens.

In case both the CV and Video Interview are not submitted by the deadline, an individual score of 0 will be assigned.

Overall Score

The Overall Score will be the following:

The Study Abroad office will elaborate the ranking, according to the above-mentioned criteria. Each student will be assigned to the first destination for which there are still places available among the ones s/he listed in her/his application in order of preference.

Please note that if applicants have equal final scores for a specific destination and there is one last slot available, the students' preferences linked to the destination will be used as criteria in order to set the ranking. In case of equal preferences, priority will be given to the student who applied earlier at Punto Blu (considering hh:mm:ss).
