Exchange Program 2025/26

Applications for the Exchange Program must be submitted within the deadlines outlined on our website. It is crucial to upload any required documents and accept the assigned destination by the deadline specified in the communication from the Study Abroad Office.
After the selection, If you wish to withdraw from the Exchange Program, please refer to the information in the boxes below.
No waiting list is foreseen, all the students who will apply for the program will be assigned to a destination.

How to apply

The Exchange Program is one of the options available to fulfill the required study abroad experience for the students regularly enrolled in the MSc in IM Global Experience. For the other options available please refer to the Guide to the University - International opportunities.
Students will have to enrol at Punto Blu by the deadline set.
At the time of enrolment, students have to indicate all the available destinations in order of preference (ie: the choice n. 1 is the most preferred destination) for all the destinations for which the student meets the academic/language requirements.

Once the application is completed, students are strongly advised to verify the completion of the application by saving all entered data and downloading the application receipt before the deadline.

Please note:

  • the Application Tutorial and instructions on how to correctly attach certificates can be found in B in Touch;

  • plan your application carefully since no late enrollment, certificate submissions, or modifications to the application can be accepted by the system or by the Study Abroad Office after the deadline;

  • if you apply to destinations with Additional Language Requirements you must upload your language certificate at Punto Blu by the application deadline, even if it has already been registered in your academic career.

How to accept

After the rankings are published, students must confirm or decline their assigned destination and indicate their preferred semester by the deadline specified in the communication from the Study Abroad Office: 

  • students who are assigned to destinations without specific semester restrictions can consider their chosen semester as final once they have confirmed their selection.
  • students who apply for destinations with limited slots per semester can express their preferred term. The Study Abroad Office will then assign them, giving priority to students with higher scores.

Students may be excluded from the Exchange Program for the following reasons:

  • inability to participate in the selected academic year, it is not possible to postpone the Experience for the following academic year;
  • disciplinary action.

Students who do not reply to selection notifications within the outlined deadline will be excluded from the Program. Failure to respond will be considered as a withdrawal from the Exchange Program.

Selected students can withdraw from the exchange program at any time during the academic year, until their scheduled departure. Selected students who accept and decide to withdraw at a later stage must send a message through B in Touch.

Students who do not accept the destination they have been assigned to (among the choices in the application), are automatically excluded from the current program and will not be assigned to any other destination. Therefore: 

  • Students who withdraw will NOT have a second chance to be included in the program​
  • Students who withdraw/do not apply for the Exchange will have to complete an International Curricular Internship to complete their degree.​

Selected students who decide to withdraw will not be allowed to apply for the Free-Mover Semester initiative nor any further selection of the Exchange Program within your current study cycle.
