Academic regularity
Repetition of the same course year and credit calculation
The Right to University Education, for the purposes of eligibility for the related benefits, expresses the principle of academic regularity, this means that there have been no interruptions to the regular progression in the student's university career.
Students enrolled to the first academic year
Students who in the 2022-2023 a.y., following a transfer or withdrawal from another university, enroll at Bocconi University in the first year of the a.y. 2022-2023 of a Bachelor of Science, Integrated Master of Arts in Law or Master of Science program or for the first time in a year of a PhD program, they CANNOT apply for ISU Bocconi scholarship a.y. 2022-2023.
ex.: The student enrolled in the academic year 2021-2022 to an Italian or foreign university that in the academic year 2022-2023 following a withdrawal, enrolls at Bocconi University, cannot apply for ISU Bocconi Scholarship.
The student enrolled in the academic year 2021-2022 to an Italian or foreign university that in the academic year 2022-2023 moves to Bocconi University, can:
- decide to not apply for the recognition of credits earned at their university: the student will be enrolled in the first year for a.y. 2022-2023 and cannot apply for ISU Bocconi Scholarship.
- decide to ask for the recognition of credits: the student, pending the recognition resolution, must contact the Fees, Funding and Housing Office and may apply for ISU Bocconi scholarship but to access the ranking he must be enrolled in subsequent years to the former and have achieved the minimum number of credits required for eligibility for the Scholarship. (Example: student enrolled in the first year in the 2021-2022 academic year in another University who, following recognition, enrolls in Bocconi in the second a.y. for 2022-2023, to be eligible for the ISU Bocconi Scholarship, he must have 49 credits).
Students enrolled in years subsequent to the first
Students enrolled in years subsequent to the first in the a.y. 2022-2023, who in years prior to 2022-2023 have repeated enrollment in the same course year already attended, can apply for ISU Bocconi Scholarship a.y. 2022-2023 but they must have achieved the minimum number of credits required, for eligibility for the Scholarship, for the year of study for which the benefit is requested.
Attention: all academic years in which the student was enrolled starting from the year of first absolute enrollment, even if not at Bocconi, will be counted for the verification of credits.
ex. 1: student with the following enrollments:
a.y. 2022-2023: 2nd year in Bocconi
-a.y. 2021-2022: transfer from another university in Bocconi and repetition of 1st year in Bocconi
-a.y. 2020-2021: 1st year in another university
For the counting of credits, the minimum number of credits required to access the ranking is 95 credits, the minimum credits corresponding to the third year of the course because the academic year 2020-2021 is also counted (first year of absolute enrollment in the university system).
ex. 2: student who decide to not enroll in an academic year prior to the academic year 2022-2023 (gap year).
-a.y. 2022-2023: 2nd year in Bocconi
-a.y. 2021-2022: suspension of studies (gap year) – enrollment as fuoricorso intermedio
-a.y. 2020-2021: first year in Bocconi
For the counting of credits, the minimum number of credits required to access the ranking is 95 credits, the minimum credits corresponding to the third year of the academic year. 2022-2023 because the academic year 2021-2022 is also counted (enrollment as fuoricorso intermedio).
