Learning Objectives
The MSc in Artificial Intelligence, taught in English aims to provide students with methods and techniques to develop the next generation of artificial intelligence and machine learning systems.
The qualifying goals are to:
- Provide advanced knowledge in mathematics, computing and modeling, as well as the skills needed to:
- model a real-world problem in an abstract way
- reason rigorously about mathematical models
- code large and complex software systems involving advanced algorithms and methods such as deep learning and reinforcement learning
- Teach tools and methods of advanced machine learning systems in the main application domains, such as image processing and natural language processing, to develop innovative solutions
- Foster broad knowledge and experience of computing beyond machine learning, as well as how to apply computer science to other sciences, such as the life sciences
- Offer interdisciplinary knowledge beyond computing
- Develop critical skills and an understanding of ethical issues in computing
- In addition to English (the language of the program), promote proficiency in another EU language (Italian for non-Italian native speakers).
