Program Structure
The study plan of the LLM in European Business and Social Law is highly flexible and you can personalize it in order to meet your specific study interests.
You will attend courses together with students of the 5-year program in Law as well as other 3-year (BSc) and 2-year (MSc) Bocconi programs.
Here below you will find the guidelines to personalize your study plan.
1. Program requirements
Students are required to gain a total of 60 CPU (credit point units).
A limited surplus is allowed depending on the weight in CPU of the chosen courses.
The study plan structure is as follows:
- two compulsory courses (9 CPUs each): EU Law (1st semester) and International Law (2nd semester) — note that exceptionally students will be allowed to substitute EU Law (9 CPU) with Key Issues in EU law (6 CPU) and International Law (9 CPU) with Law and Policy Making (6 CPU) upon the approval of the LLM Director and the two courses’ coordinators;
- three multiple choice compulsory courses: a course (or a combination of courses) from each of the three key areas amounting to at least 6 CPU (Business Law; Digital Law and Public and Social Law) — note that students with a non-legal background will additionally be required to take at least one course in the Foundations of Law area;
- other elective courses and professional skills seminars so that the sum of CPU of compulsory courses + courses and seminars of the four key areas and professional skills seminars is 54 CPU (or slightly more);
- final work: final paper; or internship (with report); or work in a legal clinic (with report); or participation in a moot court (with report) (6 CPU).
