Presentation

The importance of taxation and its implications has grown significantly due to the increasing volume of tax regulations and the rising technical complexity of a field that operates across multiple interactive levels: international, European and national. This complexity makes specialized knowledge and systematic expertise more essential than ever.

As taxation and its financial and managerial aspects gain prominence in professional settings, the need for experts capable of managing complex interactions with tax authorities – both nationally and internationally – has become increasingly evident. Today, professionals must ensure strong legal protection and effective defense in both audit and tax litigation processes, managing tax risk in connection with corporate and accounting issues.

The GTLG program is designed to address these needs, offering advanced specialization for careers such as:

  • Tax lawyers, chartered accountants and tax consultants

  • Executives in tax departments of mid- to large-sized companies

  • Tax professionals in public administration and international institutions (such as the EU and other transnational organizations)

  • Tax specialists at private entities, foundations and other organizations

In order to apply for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • first level degree in law or in economics/management/political science

  • limited work experience (as a rule, less than two years; exceptions possible provided that is not a medium- or long-term experience)

  • fluency in English: B2 - upper intermediate (level of competence at enrollment)

Please note: Applications will also be accepted from candidates holding a graduate degree in law or economics who intend to refresh the knowledge acquired in these curricula, with a tax-oriented interdisciplinary approach geared to a highly mobile advisory services market both in Italy and globally.

Both tracks consist of 9 modules, totaling 448 hours of classroom instruction.

The Global Tax Law and Governance program lasts 10 months and is a full-time program. Classes run Monday to Friday, starting in September 2025 and concluding in July 2025

Some lectures are open to the expert community and conducted as roundtable discussions featuring distinguished scholars.

These "open-door lectures" provide a valuable opportunity for in-depth exploration and a privileged perspective on current debates in tax law.

Modules include practical workshops, featuring key private and institutional stakeholders. These workshops address critical and current issues related to the module's topics.

Their goal is to connect participants with real-world contexts and processes, applying the concepts and techniques taught in the GTLG program.
