Career Opportunities
Students graduating from this Master of Science are equipped to pursue career paths with a wide range of national and international opportunities in the areas of corporate reporting; corporate finance and financial management; and management control. In particular, three main professional profiles will be developed:
Specialist in Corporate Reporting, Planning and Management Control
Graduates will be able to draft and analyze the main company reports concerning both financial and non-financial information, including sustainability. They may prepare and analyze management reports (internal communication) and the company's financial statements (external communication), as well as the sustainability report and related information. Additionally, they may manage the main planning and management control systems, handle the company’s financial management, evaluate corporate investments, manage the main administrative processes, and interact with external stakeholders in financial and compliance matters. In performing these functions, graduates can collaborate with key divisional and functional managers as well as senior management, participating in the company's strategic decision-making.
Graduates will be trained to work in any type of industrial, commercial or service company within the "administration, finance and control" organizational units. They may work in environments of varying size, including structured multinational corporations.
Specialist in Business Advisory, Assurance Services and CPA
Graduates may act as consulting business partners or CPAs (Certified Public Accountants) on corporate listing processes and access to the equity and bond markets; provide opinions and sworn appraisals both in terms of compliance and dispute management-litigation; support companies in drafting financial and non-financial information; assist in acquisition processes and other extraordinary business operations; and support the company in accounting, tax, and financial due diligence. Finally, they may assist the company in tax planning. Graduates can also be involved in auditing and assurance services. They will be able to collaborate as advisors with entrepreneurs, senior management, legal professionals and representatives of financial institutions.
Graduates will be trained to work at:
- consulting firms, qualified professional firms of accountants and top-tier law firms specializing in business law
- specialized "boutiques" in corporate finance, financial services, and private equity
- leading auditing and assurance services firms, both in financial reporting audit and in sustainability reporting preparation and audit
Specialist in Extraordinary Management Operations and Corporate Restructuring
Graduates may manage extraordinary operations such as acquisitions, mergers, demergers, and the sale of business units, handling the accounting and financial aspects, as well as the dynamics of enterprise value determination and the valuation of specific company assets. They may also manage corporate restructuring processes, particularly debt restructuring, renegotiation of financial exposures, and managing crisis and insolvency states. In restructuring contexts, they redesign business processes, information systems, planning and internal and external reporting systems, and corporate governance structures. They will be able to collaborate with entrepreneurs, senior management, legal professionals and representatives of financial institutions.
Graduates will be trained to operate in companies specialized in corporate finance services, mergers and acquisitions, financial institutions (e.g. banks, insurance companies, rating agencies, and analysts), private equity funds and qualified financial advisory boutiques.
