||
When |
Prior to conclusion of the internship. |
|
How long |
Within the limit of the 6 months’ overall maximum duration of the internship. The University will assess the possibility of extension beyond six months only if the employer demonstrates that more time is needed to attain the training objective, having regard to the project’s complexity. |
|
How |
The employer |
Enters the extension period and the reasons for it on the JobGate portal. |
You |
Confirm the extension on JobGate in the "My internships" area, "Changes in duration" section in the yoU@B Agenda. |

SUSPENSION |
||
When |
Subject to agreement with the University, a period of temporary suspension of the experience (e.g. for company closures or vacations) is permitted. Recovery of the originally planned duration — curricular internship for credits: suspensions must in any case be recovered by the scheduled end of the internship through extension, if they affect the internship’s minimum duration. — curricular without credits or extracurricular internship: recovery is to be effected at the discretion of the employer.
|
|
How long |
The sum of suspensions must not exceed one month in the course of a given internship. |

|
You |
In the case of a credited curricular internship, verify that the suspension has not reduced the duration of the internship to less than the minimum required for recognition. |
WITHDRAWAL |
||
When |
Prior to beginning of the internship. Unless there is proper justification (grave reasons), withdrawal entails a penalty that precludes activation of any new internship for two weeks. |
|

INTERRUPTION |
||
When |
During the internship. Unless there is proper justification (grave reasons), interruption entails a penalty that precludes activation of any new internship for two weeks. Moreover, the interruption of a curricular internship for credit may result in the non-recognition of the experience in the study plan, even if the minimum required duration is reached. |
|
How |
The employer |
Enters the interruption date and fill in the "motivation" box, on the JobGate portal. |
You |
Confirm the interruption on JobGate in the "My internships" area, "Changes in duration" section in the yoU@B Agenda. In the case of a curricular internship for credits, verify that the interruption has not reduced the duration of the internship to less than the minimum required for recognition. |
