Martial Arts and Management Skills
Transforming opposition into mutual benefit
Discover how to interpret and navigate power dynamics, transforming opposition into mutual benefit.
This can be useful today at university, enhancing your relationships with teachers and classmates, and tomorrow in the workplace with colleagues, bosses, clients, and various types of stakeholders.
Drawing on the parallels between the values of martial arts and management skills (focus, self-awareness, agility, balance, determination), the course helps you build effective relationships, manage stress, analyze competitors, and select the best strategies for critical situations.
Please note: No knowledge of martial arts is required
The course is divided into two distinct parts: a practical session in the gym, where you will directly experiment with martial techniques, and a theoretical session in the classroom, which serves as a debriefing of the previous experience.
It offers three main takeaways:
- Understanding interlocutors
- Managing conflicts
- Identifying and overcoming different types of resistance
