International SOS for Bocconi Travellers

Bocconi has partnered with International SOS to provide assistance to travelling students participating in International Programs worldwide and to help them with medical, personal, travel, security, logistical and legal problems that may arise when away from home. 

Services are dedicated to students participating in International Programs offered by Bocconi University, including incoming exchange students from partner Universities as well as incoming double degree students. 

International SOS - which is not an insurance company and does not replace personal medical insurance - provides travelling students with quality health care and medical and security advice services worldwide 24/7.

 

International SOS services include:

Before leaving:

  • Information are available about the country of destination, by browsing through International SOS portal including Country Guides and Travel, Security and Medical Risk Ratings. 

While abroad:

  • Timely e-mail alerts to inform students on any relevant event happening in their destination (travel disruption, extreme weather, disease breakout, etc.);
  • App to access all ISOS services from mobile which allows geo-localization and push notifications; through the International SOS Assistance App students are able to:
    • Contact the Assistance Centers
    • Check Italy country guide
    • Receive notifications
    • Sign up for email alerts
  • Personalized assistance by calling the Assistance Center for medical or security advice.

In case of emergency:

  • When needed, ISOS operates directly or through its local partners to assist students (the cost of assistance must be covered by students' personal insurance). In case of major emergencies, ISOS contacts students by email/SMS/app to check their status and informs Bocconi accordingly.
