CIVICA European Week 2025

The fifth edition of the CIVICA European Week will take place on 23 - 27 June 2025 and will be hosted (in presence) by The National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA) in Bucharest, Romania on the topic "Youth Power! Looking into a More Inclusive Future".

Designed by The National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA), the 2025 CIVICA European Week will focus on the central role of youth in driving positive change across Europe and shaping a more inclusive future. The event is intended to equip participants with the tools and knowledge necessary to make a real impact

The programme combines diverse methodologies and is structured according to a transdisciplinary, multi-scalar and experiential approach: it includes both learning activities such as expert-led workshops, interactive discussions, and off-campus experiences that will allow students to immerse themselves in the rich and vibrant local culture of Bucharest.

All activities are intended to shed light on the debate inherent to the role of young generations and students will have the opportunity to build engaging dialogues with policy-makers, entrepreneurs and experts as well as to work in teams and increase their knowledge.

The discussions and activities will all revolve around three key questions

  • Europe Relies on Youth becoming more interested and engaged in local policymaking. Government needs to boost trust in its strategic thinking and rapidly adapt to the increasing turbulent environment, to better serve the youth. Our businesses need the creativeness, ambition and energy of the youth. Is Youth up to the task?
  • Europe Learns to Speak Youth: European, national and local policies need to be clear and transparent. Today and tomorrow, Youth is asked to accept, implement and monitor policies. Are our governments ready to engage Youth in a more meaningful way?
  • Europe Needs Youth: Let’s Give It a Plan! Moving beyond discussions, this edition of CIVICA European Week will seek to develop actionable strategies to ensure youth participation is more than just symbolic.
