On November 27, 2024, from 6pm to 7:30pm, Bocconi University will open its doors for the Bocconi Research Night, an occasion intended to celebrate research, an engine of innovation and growth for society. The event will be held in the Aula Magna at 1 Via Röntgen and is open to the public.

In an ever-evolving world, research represents a fundamental pillar for meeting global challenges, promoting progress and improving quality of life. Bocconi, which has always been committed to academic excellence, dedicates this evening to recognizing and rewarding the work of its researchers, true protagonists of change.

Bocconi Research Night will start with a speech by Rector Francesco Billari, which will be followed by the presentation of two among the grant-financed research papers. Nilanjana Dutt, Associate Professor of Strategy, and Carlo Schwarz, Assistant Professor of Economics, will illustrate their research projects. The other award-winning researchers are Arnstein Aassve, Pierpaolo Battigalli, Nicolò Cavalli, Andrea Celli, Carlo Federici, Giorgio Giacomelli, Alessia Melegaro, Alessandro Pigati, Benedetta Pongiglione, Massimo Pulejo, Raffaella Saporito, Iacopo Savelli, and Elisabetta Trinchero.

A special moment of the evening, hosted by Dean for Research Elena Carletti, will be dedicated to the presentation of the Research Excellence Career Award, an honor given for the first time that celebrates a Bocconi researcher's long-term consistent excellence.

Afterwards, the Impact Awards ceremony, honoring the influence of research on key sectors of society, will take place. These awards will be presented by Antonella Carù, Dean for Development and Alumni Relations, with the special participation of Barbara Cominelli, CEO of JLL Italia, who will have the opportunity to illustrate the essential link between academic research and business.

Participation is subject to registration, which will be open until noon on Wednesday, Nov. 27.
