Bocconi Hosts the 8th Symposium on Games and Decisions in Reliability and Risk
From May 28 to 30, 2025, Bocconi University will host the 8th Symposium on Games and Decisions in Reliability and Risk (GDRR), an international event dedicated to the application of game and decision theory in reliability and risk analysis. Organized by the Department of Decision Sciences, the symposium will bring together experts from disciplines such as economics, engineering, finance, mathematics, medical science, probability and statistics to present groundbreaking research on topics ranging from notions of risk aversion and resilience of complex systems to Bayesian inference and decision systems for precision medicine.
The program includes 14 invited talks, an organized session of three talks centered on Bayesian Deep Generative Models, 20 contributed talks, and some networking events such as an aperitif, concert, and dinner.
Invited speakers include Laura Albert (University of Wisconsin-Madison), Filippo Ascolani (Duke University), Pierpaolo Battigalli and Massimo Marinacci (Bocconi University), Kevin Burke (University of Limerick), Giulia Di Nunno (University of Oslo), Daniel Garcia Rasines and Roi Naveiro Flores (CUNEF University, Madrid), Korel Gundem (George Washington University), Francesca Ieva and Enrico Zio (Politecnico di Milano), Canan Ulu (Georgetown University), Min Xie (City University of Hong Kong) and Gregor Zens (International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis).
The symposium will be preceded by the 14th workshop on Bayesian Inference for Stochastic Processes. A special issue of the Reliability Engineering & System Safety journal with selected contributions is also forthcoming.
