More than 40 Bocconi representatives and a recruiting mission at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Boston (August 3-7)

The first ten days of August are not yet sea time for Bocconi management scholars. Their attention is focused on the Academy of Management (AOM) Annual Meeting (Boston, August 3-7, 2012), which, with its 9,000 participants from 85 countries, is the main gathering for management academia. Università Bocconi is one of the 48 universities represented by more than 30 participants (namely 44).

As always, the AOM Annual Meeting is also an important networking opportunity (to this end Bocconi organizes a famed reception) and the venue of a job market for junior professors. In the past months Bocconi has received ca. 100 applications for the two available positions and Alfonso Gambardella, who leads the recruiting mission, and his colleagues will meet more than 30 PhD graduates in Boston, in order to choose 8-10 of them for the autumn job market seminars at Bocconi.

At the end of the same process, last year, were selected Mario Daniele Amore from Copenhagen Business School and Julien Jourdan from Imperial College London, who will join Bocconi on September 1.

The theme of this year AOM Annual Meeting will be the informal economy and Bocconi's participant scholars will be: Silvia Bagdadli, David Bardolet, Giuliana Bensa, Ivano Bongiovanni, Elio Borgonovi, Stefano Breschi, Emanuela Brusoni, Arnaldo Camuffo, Gianluca Capone, Rossella Cappetta, Carmelo Cennamo, Magdalena Cholakova, Paola Dubini, Roberto Fontana, Kun Fu, Alfonso Gambardella, Marco Giarratana, Isabella Giusepi, Anna Grandori, Andreas Hinterhuber, Federico Lega, Ludovica Leone, Massimo Magni, Franco Malerba, Myriam Mariani, Nicola Misani, Chiara Paolino, Martina Pasquini, Francesco Perrini, Stefano Pogutz, Emanuela Prandelli, Anna Prenestini, Davide Ravasi, Carlo Salvato, Raffaella Saporito, Giuseppe Soda, Lucrezia Songini, Ettore Spadafora, Giovanni Valentini, Veronica Vecchi, Gianmario Verona, Clodia Vurro, Charles Williams and Maurizio Zollo.
