At Bocconi to Find Out Who Will Be Next US President
Just a few more days and it will be known who will hold the destiny of much of the world in their hands. The election of a US president is indeed an event of historic significance, with endless implications, not only political, and medium- and long-term impacts around the world. Thus, on the occasion of the 2024 U.S. presidential election, CLEACC in partnership with the Department of Social and Political Sciences and CampusLife, and with the participation of ACME, is organizing a night event in aula Gobbi to seize the opportunity to witness History in its fulfillment.
The night will offer a continuous update on the vote counting and will host a large roster of lecturers and experts who will analyze the election campaign, the candidates and the results of the polls in all their main dimensions, from politics to economics, from society to culture.
Participants will include Bocconi professors Vincenzo Galasso, StefanoCaselli, Stefano Baia Curioni, Stefania Borghini, Antonella Carù, Andrea Colli and also Stefano Feltri, journalist and communication advisor of IEP@BU Sole 24 Ore journalist Ugo Tramballi, and, connecting from New York, Alberto Bisin of New York University.
The event is organized, as part of the activities related to the Television and Culture course, by director Andrea Quartarone, teaching assistant Ennio Terrasi Borghesan, alumna Chiara Cuzzocrea, and the course's student newsroom, which this semester is curating and producing a podcast on the US election campaign entitled “Good night and good luck” (available on Spotify and ApplePodcasts).
To attend the event live, which will start at 11:30 p.m. and end the next day at 8 a.m., registration is required (https://www.unibocconi.it/en/events/us-election-night) but it will also be broadcast online, on Radio Bocconi's YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/@radiobocconiplayitloud.
