BIG Kicks off and Gets Straight to the Point

, by Elisa Bazzani
The Bachelor in International Politics and Government, inaugurated early this week, is the first political science program at Bocconi University

The Greek debt crisis, the migration emergency, becoming global citizens and playing an active role in the international framework: these were the issues broached during yesterday's welcome event of BIG, the Bachelor in International Politics and Government, "the very first political science undergraduate degree at Bocconi", explains Program Director Vincenzo Galasso. After a brief introduction to the program, both students and faculty members contributed to the debate, thus going directly to the heart of the course.

Taught in English and with a quantitative approach, the Bachelor in International Politics and Government aims at providing a carefully selected group of students (60) with the necessary tools to understand how social, economic and political systems evolve and how to design, implement and evaluate public policies. Alongside the international vocation, BIG is structured as a highly innovative, flexible course, envisaging one semester abroad and curricular internships at international institutions.
