On this webpage, all the details about requirements, methods and deadlines of application, results and requirements needed to use the accommodation are explained. Therefore, before applying, be sure to carefully read the contents of paragraphs 1-9 on this page.

A full rate assignment may be requested only by students who:

  • are non-resident, meaning living in a municipality from which it is possible to reach the location of the study course attended by public transportation, with travel times exceeding 90 minutes(*)

    The only exception are students interested in applying during the Open reservation, for whom this requirement does not have to be strictly fulfilled.

  • Not fall under any of the grounds for exclusion

  • having earned the minimum number of credits as per paragraph 2 "Credits required to submit the application"

  • enrolled for the a.y. 2025-26:

    >in the first, second, or third year of a Bachelor of Science program
    >in the first, second, third, fourth, or fifth year of the Integrated Master of Arts in Law
    >in the first, or second year of a Master of Science program.

Students who are recipient of financial aid that includes free accommodation (e.g., Una Scelta Possibile) or accommodation at reduced rate (e.g., Moving to Milan), upon acceptance of the benefit, renounce the possibility of receiving any another type of housing assignment (preferential rate, full rate) for the academic year of the first assignment and subsequent years (if the financial aid is renewed). Acceptance will result in the automatic cancellation of any housing request submitted and/or of any housing assignment received. It is also specified that after acceptance, no further housing requests of any type can be submitted.


The number of rooms available at full rate is usually lower than the applications submitted. Regularly enrolled students will be considered as a priority: applications submitted by students transferring from other Universities or repeating any year of course will not be accepted.

 

(*) The travel times to be calculated are the minimum times required, based on the public transport route, between the departure station/stop from the place of residence and the arrival station/stop at the study location, including waiting times at intermediate stops. Walking routes or private transportation are excluded. These times can be verified on the regional website www.muoversi.regione.lombardia.it and, for cities outside the Lombardy Region, through the Google Maps search engine at www.google.it/maps

In the application session "Full rate renewal application" only applications submitted by students who will have reached the minimum number of credits indicated here below, by and no later than: 1 of February, 2025 (to be confirmed) for Bachelor and Master of Science programs, and by  22 of March, 2025 (to be confirmed) for Integrated Master of Arts in Law program will be evaluated.
 

It is specified that:

>First year students of the Bachelor or Integrated Master of Arts in Law programs are not required to reach this minimum number of credits if they wish to apply for the "Full rate new admission application (for 1st year students")
>A minimum number of credits is not required to students who wish to apply for the "Full rate new admission application (for all year students) application. 
>A minimum number of credits is not required to students who wish to apply for the Open reservation application.


Minimum number of credits required

11 credits for those enrolled in the first year (bachelor, master of science and integrated master of arts in law programs) in a.y. 2024-25
60 credits for those enrolled in the second year (bachelor and integrated master of arts in law programs) in a.y. 2024-25
120 credits for those enrolled in the third year of a bachelor programs in a.y. 2024-25 and intending to enroll in the first year of a master of science program in Bocconi University for a.y. 2025-26, or for those enrolled in the third year of an integrated master of arts in law program in a.y. 2024-25 
180 credits for those enrolled in the fourth year of an integrated master of arts in law program in a.y. 2024-25

It is specified that for the achievement of the minimum number of credits required at the end of the winter session there is NO use of bonus credits in addition to the credits actually earned by the student.

For students who have participated in an Exchange program during the first semester, the timing of recognition of exams taken abroad will be considered. Such students are invited to still apply for housing renewal if interested and to monitor the credit recognition in order to complete it as soon as possible. Please note that no flexibility can be applied in relation to the achievement of the merit requirement for accommodation - credits to be achieved by August 10, 2025.

It is also specified that for students with disability pursuant to Italian Law n.104/1992 or with civil disability equal or greater than 66%, the number of minimum credits may deviate up to a maximum of 40% from the number of credits indicated above.

The housing assignment for a.y. 2025-26 is granted for the academic year of application only, therefore, it is not automatically renewed for subsequent academic years, but it is the student's responsibility to check whether it can be renewed and to make subsequent applications for assignment in the ways that will be provided and detailed on the website for each academic year.

Throughout the period in which the student is a resident in a Bocconi residence hall, room changes are not permitted. Instead, it is the right of Bocconi University to transfer the student, even during the year, to another residence hall at the rate provided for the new residence.

Full rate new admission application a.y. 2025-26
Starting from March/April 2025

Rooms available in the Bocconi residence halls are limited. First year students (of Bachelor programs or of the Integrated Master of Arts in Law program) have a priority: in fact, the first application session is reserved to them. All other assignment sessions can be accessed by all students. In case of non-reservation due to the exhaustion of rooms in a specific session, it will still be possible to reapply in the following sessions. Please see the dedicated webpage with the Calendar of application sessions available for a.y. 2025-26 and carefully read the Instructions to submit the application.

Applications submitted after the deadline and/or with submission methods that do not comply with the prescribed procedure and/or with incomplete documentation will not be taken into consideration.

After submitting your application, monitor in the "Notifications" area of MyApplication for communications from the Office, which may indicate the need for additions or integrations of documents.

How to upload the documents correctly
You must print all documents, sign them by hand with a legible signature, and upload them with all pages to the designated section no later than the application’s deadline. In order to complete the application, it is necessary to click on the button "submit application" (inoltra domanda) after having completed the 500 euros housing deposit payment and the upload of all the documents required, that are available in the online application. The signature on the documents must be handwritten and match the signature on the ID submitted.

Result housing renewal application
The result will be made available within early April 2025 on MyApplication. For the renewal application, no subsequent steps of acceptance are required, the room is assigned.

Result housing new admission application and acceptance
The information in the following paragraph is valid for all the new admission application sessions (1st year students and subsequent years students) and for the monthly open reservations.

The result of a housing new admission application is published on MyApplication usually around 3 working days after the session. 
If the result is positive, you will receive a full rate housing assignment for a.y. 2024-25. On the result, you will be notified the residence assigned, the room type, the period of assignment and the fee applied. The accommodation offer received is not changeable and no room changes are foreseen.
If you wish to accept the offer of accommodation received, proceed to pay the security deposit of 500 euros and upload all the required documents by the date that will be indicated in the result. If you fail to complete all the steps required to accept the housing assignment received by that deadline, your assignment will automatically be cancelled.

Students who will result housing assignees for a.y. 2025-26 following the procedure described above will be able to use the assigned accommodation only in presence of the following conditions:

1) REGULAR ENROLLMENT for a.y. 2025-26

> regular enrollment for the absolute first time for a.y. 2025-26 in the first regular year of a Master of Science (i.e. bachelor Bocconi students going to the Master of Science program)

or

> regular enrollment for a.y. 2025-26 for the absolute first time in a regular year subsequent to the first of a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Integrated Master of arts in Law or PhD program. 

It is specified that the years of enrollment are counted for each study cycle starting from the absolute first year of enrollment*. 

It is specified that for students with a disability pursuant to Italian Law n.104/1992 or with civil disability equal or greater than 66% can reside in the Bocconi Residence Halls at a preferential rate also if enrolled for a.y. 2024-25 in the 2nd year “fuori corso” of a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Integrated Master of Arts in Law program.

*The absolute first year of enrollment shall be understood as any academic year of first enrollment in any kind of degree program (even if different from the one attended in the a.y. 2025-26) which required the same education qualification as the one needed to access the attended program in the a.y. 2025-26, in any University in Italy or abroad, even if the program has not been completed.

2) MERIT REQUIREMENT: CREDITS TO BE OBTAINED AND REGISTERED BY AUGUST 10, 2025
It is specified that for the "New admission" and the "Monthly Open reservation" application sessions, the fulfillment of this requirements is not required.
 

For the purpose of eligibility to use the accommodation, the rules established in terms of merit requirements and detailed on the dedicated webpage for the different types of housing applications apply.

Before your arrival at the residence for a.y. 2025-26 you will have to pay the housing 1st installment: the deadline will be August 5th, 2025. You will see the amount due on your you@B once you'll have completed your enrollment for a.y. 2025-26. We recommend you to make the payment through the PagoPa online system.
 

Fees, deadlines and methods of payment a.y. 2025-26

Please consider that the calculation of the housing installment is carried out at the beginning of July for all housing assignees, regardless of their situation in terms of reaching the merit and the enrollment requirement (see point 5) that the office cannot verify before August 10. The possibility of seeing the due payment on you@B does not entail an unconditional room assignment, which is always subject to the possession of the enrollment and merit requirements. In absence of the requirements needed to use the assigned room, the office will proceed with the cancellation of your housing assignment, but you will still be required to pay the first installment (it will not be possible to cancel the due amount).

In the event you will pay the amount due but after a subsequent verification the merit and enrollment requirement will not be met, the amount you paid will not be refunded and the housing assignment will be cancelled in any case. 

Please remember that the University grants the right to leave the accommodation early and to withdraw from the commitment to such payment, exclusively in the foreseen cases of renunciation of the accommodation, proven by the specific academic reasons required for the acceptance of the renunciation request, and withdrawal from the accommodation, according to what detailed on the dedicated website pages.

Students assigned housing for whom it is subsequently determined that they did not regularly enroll for the a.y. 2025-26 or did not meet the merit requirements will lose their right (eligibility) to use the Housing Service for the a.y. 2025-26. The assignment will be cancelled by the office and students will be required to leave the assigned accommodation immediately. It is specified that the payments due will remain the responsibility of the student even in the event of cancellation of the assignment. For this reason, before submitting a housing application, students are invited to pay particular attention to the provisions regarding the cancellation of the housing assignment, specified on the dedicated webpage.

Bocconi residences will be open from late August 2025 to late June 2026. The standard assignment period planned for a.y. 2025-26 meets the academic needs of most students.

There are no time restrictions on entry or exit for residence hall guests. There are restrictions, however, for external guests, whose presence in the residence hall is allowed only between 7 a.m. and midnight.

Regarding staying in the residence during the extraordinary opening periods (winter break 2025 and July 2026), it will be necessary to submit a separate request (dedicated webpage soon available).

 

Bocconi University has accommodations in each residence hall that are designed to accommodate students with disabilities in order to offer them the possibility to easily live their university experience in a collective context that meets their needs. Students with disabilities who require special housing needs may contact the Office of Fees, Funding and Housing, which will evaluate, with each student, which housing is best suited to their specific needs. All reported issues and provided documentation will be treated confidentially and subject to applicable privacy regulations. In order for the Office to be able to satisfy the requests received, it is best to clarify your needs in advance. Interested students are advised to contact the Fees, Funding and Housing Office before submitting their housing application.
