Three Weeks in Mumbai and Dubai for 57 Bocconi Students

, by Susanna Della Vedova
Between 16 January and 5 February, students taking part in the Campus Abroad Winter program will have a short a' but thorough a' international experience: study and local customs and practices

Mumbai and Dubai are the two destinations for Campus Abroad Winter 2016 and 57 Bocconi students enrolled in a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science or Integrated Master of Arts in Law program are making the trip overseas.

There will be 17 Graduate and Law Bocconi students landing at Mumbai airport. They will be hosted in the classrooms of theMumbai International School of Business, founded by Bocconi in India. Partecipants will work together with 23 students currently enrolled in two PGPB 3 Programs at the Indian university and attend lectures by Claudio Zara and Gimede Gigante (Bocconi faculty members) for the course Structured and Project Finance.

At the same time, 40 undergraduate students will go to Dubai. They will attend lectures by Paola Anna Varacca Capello and Gabriella Lojacono (both Bocconi faculty members) at the American University, for the course Management of Fashion Companies.

Taking part in Campus Abroad is a unique international experience because, though short (only 3 weeks long), it allows students to spend time in the classroom, participate in guided tours at nearby companies and institutions and get a taste of the lifestyle by getting direct exposure to the culture and local traditions.

The Campus Abroad program takes place twice a year. In addition to the winter session, there is also a summer term, scheduled for 26 June to 16 July 2016. To participate in the selection process, students need to register on the International Relations website between 15 and 24 February (see the link to find out more about destinations).

To learn more about all the study and work abroad opportunities offered by the University, attend the Bocconi International Fair (BIF), which will take place on 11 at Via Roentgen 1. This is an annual event for students to meet Bocconi representatives, to get information on all international programs available and submit applications.
