
Tech European Foundation: Eight Scholarships Established for Bocconi PhD Programs Starting in 2025-2026
The Tech Europe Foundation has recently intensified its activities. A non-profit foundation promoted by Fondazione Politecnico, Bocconi University, ION, FSI and the Chamber of Commerce of Milan Monza Brianza Lodi with the aim of creating an ecosystem that fosters collaboration between academic research, business and startups, it has established eight scholarships for Bocconi PhD programs starting in the 2025-2026 academic year. Six are for the PhD in Statistics and Computer Science, while two are for the PhD in Business Administration and Management (Management curriculum).
The first six scholarships have already been allocated (three for the Statistics curriculum and three for the Computer Science curriculum), while a call will be open from 15 April to 15 May for the two scholarships for the PhD in Business Administration and Management. Applicants for the two scholarships must possess a strong background in business, statistics, engineering or other STEM degrees. Applications from candidates with experience in software development, including backend programming and database management, machine learning, AI and decision sciences are encouraged. Successful applicants will conduct research on entrepreneurship, innovation, entrepreneurial finance, startups, business strategy and related areas.

"The Tech Europe Foundation's support for eight additional scholarships is key to promoting both basic research in statistics, computer science and artificial intelligence, and applied research focused on improving startup and innovation ecosystems."
The Tech European Foundation, launched last September, represents a virtuous example of public-private collaboration, with the aim of transforming Milan into one of Europe’s most important technological hubs. TEF focuses on fundamental research and the creation of a critical mass of new companies in the deep tech sector, based on scientific discoveries and technological innovations in areas such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, microelectronics, aerospace and renewable energy.
