Jérôme Adda Elected Fellow of the Econometric Society
Jérôme Adda of Bocconi’s Department of Economics has been named a Fellow of the Econometric Society, an international recognition awarded to leading scholars who have made significant contributions to the advancement of economic theory, particularly in relation to statistics and mathematics.
Professor Adda’s election is part of the Society's 2024 cohort of 42 new Fellows, drawn from leading institutions globally. This year’s honorees reflect the Society’s worldwide recognition and include several Bocconi graduates: Alessandra Casella (Columbia), Andrea Galeotti (London Business School), Francesco Lippi (LUISS), Annamaria Lusardi (Stanford), Luigi Zingales (University of Chicago). Over its history, only 1,229 economists have been elected as Fellows.
Among current Fellows, we find other Bocconi professors: Pierpaolo Battigalli, Nicola Gennaioli, Massimo Marinacci, Massimo Morelli, Marco Ottaviani, Guido Tabellini, Fernando Vega-Redondo.
The Econometric Society, founded in 1930, is an academic organization dedicated to the development of economic theory with a strong emphasis on empirical and quantitative methods. The Society publishes leading academic journals such as “Econometrica”, “Quantitative Economics” and “Theoretical Economics”, and organizes conferences worldwide to foster scientific discourse.
