Bocconi's International Advisory Council Reinvents Itself and Meets in Milan
These 21 figures from business and international higher education are able to bring a European and global perspective to Bocconi – the mandate of the International Advisory Council (IAC). Founded in 2009, the body today has not only reinvented itself but also expanded. It will meet in Milan on 6-7 October, led by co-chairs Vittorio Colao – member of the Bocconi Executive Committee and Vice-Chair of EMEA at General Atlantic – and Catherine De Vries, Dean for International Affairs and Professor of Political Science at Bocconi.
"The International Advisory Council," explains Andrea Sironi, President of Bocconi University, "is an effective forum for discussing the future of academia and society, thanks to academic and international business community figures bringing complementary strategic visions, which contribute to enriching our international perspective and Bocconi's natural propensity to innovate. Bocconi's strategic goals include not only increasingly opening up to the world and diversity, but also integrating, including and supporting students from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds to prepare them for the real world, so they can have a positive impact on society.
"The IAC," concludes Sironi, "provides fundamental support to us on this by broadening our horizons in areas and sectors that are very different from ours."
