Study Programs Stakeholders' Roundtables

When it comes to Study Programs, Consultation Roundtables are organized based on groups of related programs, either within the same disciplinary field or based on the cultural, professional or scientific profiles they aim to develop. 
These meetings also include programs that belong to the same educational pathway. At Bocconi, the grouping of programs into different Consultation Roundtables aligns with the arrangements made for the composition of Student-Faculty Joint Teaching Committees.   

The Consultation Roundtables are meant to meet regularly and consistently. The frequency of these meetings can vary based on changes in external factors like the job market and academia, as well as internal needs such as programs updating study paths or conducting programs’ Periodic Reviews. However, it' is recommended that each Roundtable meets at least once every three years.  

The following participants are invited to each meeting:  

  • The Directors of each represented Program;  

  • A selection of representatives from various external stakeholder categories mentioned above. These representatives are chosen to better represent the career sectors related to the educational pathways covered by the Roundtable and align with the expected outcomes;  

  • Members (both Faculty and students) of the relevant Student-Faculty Joint Teaching Committee.   

Regarding the focus of the meetings of Study Program Roundtables, it is essential to ensure that, alongside discussing significant trends in the job market or relevant subject areas, there is a thorough examination of one or more related educational pathways each time. The choice of which Program or Programs to focus on may be arbitrary or driven by one of the specific needs mentioned above.   

The consultation process concludes with the creation of meeting minutes, providing a summary of discussions. These minutes are then incorporated into the SUA-CdS and shared with all Roundtable participants. Additionally, copies are sent to the Director(s) of the specific Program(s) being discussed. Copies are also forwarded to the Dean(s) of the relevant School(s).   

The Directors of the specific educational programs under focus are responsible for reviewing the observations and suggestions outlined in these documents. Together with their respective Review Groups, they assess which recommendations should be considered for implementing improvements to the content or organizational aspects of the Program. Any adjustment measures identified must be documented as improvement objectives in the Periodic Review Report of the respective program.   

At subsequent Roundtables, the Directors of the Programs discussed previously will give participants a brief update on the actions taken in response to the improvement suggestions received.
