Regarding the focus of the meetings of PhD Program Roundtables, discussions typically begin with an overview of the main changes that have occurred in the Programs in recent years. Stakeholders are then asked to provide input on whether the graduate profiles align with market needs and if the Program effectively enables the acquisition of necessary professional skills.
Since most Bocconi graduates pursue academic careers, there is often emphasis on discussing the research skills that PhD students can acquire through attending courses.
The consultation process concludes with the creation of meeting minutes, providing a summary of discussions. The minutes are shared with all Roundtable participants and archived for future consultations.
The Director of the PhD Program under specific focus is required to examine the observations and insights outlines in these documents and to assess whether and which indications should be implemented to enhance the content and organizational aspects of the PhD Program. The defined adjustments are then documented as improvement objectives in the Periodic Review Report.
