Welcome to Bocconi

Dear Student,

I like to put it this way: you chose Bocconi as much as Bocconi chose you. We both share the goals of making a difference and making a positive impact on the wellbeing of people, society and the planet.

Bocconi University today – and the Bocconi Alumni Community tomorrow – will be by your side to share your successes but also the challenges that will inevitably accompany your journey of learning and research.

What you will study, the experiences you’ll have as well as the network of connections you’ll build in the coming years, will make you grow as a person and as a professional to be become a true citizen of the world. Every day you’ll advance to a new stage towards the person you want to be. The skills you will acquire here will be essential to govern the many changes that the future holds in store for you.

With Bocconi you enter a global community that constantly probes existing cultural, social and disciplinary boundaries. A community centered around our beautiful campus, where over 100 nationalities mix and interact daily. A community that extends to all the corners of the world where our 75 alumni Chapters are located, as well as to every single one of the 288 universities we are partners with and that you can attend along your academic path thanks to our exchange programs, or by enrolling in one of the 37 Double Degrees that we have activated.

Living at Bocconi means attending stimulating classes with professors and classmates with whom you can exchange ideas and opinions every day to develop your critical thinking. It means learning to work as a team during group work, by creating innovative projects. Living at Bocconi means interacting with executives and civil servants, CEOs and professionals, social scientists and natural scientists, women and men who make a difference every day and who enrich classroom activities by sharing their experiences and their perspectives. From today and for the next few years you will have to learn to choose between the many daily events, meetings, seminars, and all the other curricular and extra-curricular activities that the entire Bocconi community organizes for you: from career services to student associations, from the Bocconi Library to Campus Life, from the Bocconi Sport Team to the IT education center.

On this path you will never walk alone and, depending on your needs, you can always count on our Tutoring, Counseling, Self-Empowerment and Wellbeing services and activities, as well as on the entire Bocconi faculty and staff working here to help you have the best experience possible at our University. Because our goal is to make you a future-proof student. 

Make the most of every day, every meeting, every stimulus. With curiosity and openness towards the world, with ambition and hunger for knowledge. Learn to give help and ask for help. Learn to compete and collaborate. Do all this while having fun and making new friends, to experience Milan in all the advantages of its location, North of the South of the world and South of the North of the planet. And get out of your comfort zone whenever you can.
