Three tips from Pietro Sirena to make the most of your Bocconi experience

, by Barbara Orlando
Plan your days to make them stimulating, get to know and hang out with as many students as possible, and live Milan to the max: recommendations from the Dean of the School of Law

YOU ARE IN CONTROL OF YOUR TIME: TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE OPPORTUNITY
The first thing you need to learn is how to plan your days. By making each day complete, full of stimuli and varied, you can avoid a boring routine and experience a feeling of fulfillment and efficiency. For the first time in your life you are the master of your time: do not waste the opportunity. Of course, much of the time will be occupied by lessons and study: it's your job, don't forget! But the more you know how to make your work interesting and fun, the less it will weigh on you. Your agenda might include a run in the park or a dip in the pool, a meeting with your study group or an hour of volunteering: whatever you do, let yourself be amazed by what you discover every day.

START NOW TO BUILD A NETWORK THAT WILL ACCOMPANY YOU THROUGHOUT YOUR LIFE
Get to know as many students as possible. Don't limit yourself to your classmates. Bocconi is a community rich in diversity, culture and experiences that are not all enclosed in a single class. Your study groups will be crucial to a shared and stimulating learning experience, but you will have to create your own network outside the classroom as well. The more you participate in campus life, the more opportunities you will have to make new friends, cultivate interests, and create bonds that will remain with you for a lifetime.

MILAN IS WAITING FOR YOU
By choosing Bocconi you have chosen Milan, a European city that in recent years is experiencing a real Renaissance thanks in large part to its rich university community, 230 thousand students strong. Learn to know and respect Milan, take advantage of what it has to offer, breathe in the European and international spirit that lives on our campus and increasingly throughout the city. Milan will be your home for the next few years but it is first of all a hub of knowledge and opportunities that will come in handy even later. Milan, like Bocconi, is investing in you: take advantage of what they have to offer you in terms of culture, networking, sociability, experiences. Including a happy hour on the Navigli!
