SDA Bocconi and Speed MI Up with Barilla to Award Food Talents
Three tuition-free slots in SDA Bocconi's Master of management in food and beverage and three six-month speed up tutoring periods at the incubator Speed MI Up are among the prizes of Good 4 – Start up the Future, the Barilla Group's initiative dedicated to under-30s from around the globe with an idea or an innovative project for the food sector that will favor sustainable development for present and future generations.
Good 4 – Start up the Future will be backing the six winning business ideas presented by young talents, either individually or in groups of three, through training courses and an overall financial contribution of around €200,000.
Participation in the competition is free. Just visit https://www.barillagood4.com and download the regulations. After registering, it will then be possible to choose one of the four categories to present a project in: Good4 our Wellbeing, projects designed to improve people's wellbeing; Good4 our Planet, schemes to make food's journey from field to fork more sustainable; Good4 our Communities, projects that highlight food as a promoter of wellbeing and socio-economic development, Good4 our Knowledge, projects aimed at communicating to people the importance of getting to know food in order to make informed choices.
Projects can be uploaded to the site from May 7 thru to October 15, 2014. Contestants must present their proposed project by uploading a description of the scheme, a business plan, and a presentation video, all in English.
The Final Round – at which the six winners will be announced – is scheduled for February 2015, in Parma and Milan.
