Margherita Pagani receives award from the Mobile Marketing Association

The Bocconi professor wins in LA the Academic award 2009 in recognition of her work

Among the winners of the 12 categories of the Global mobile marketing awards is Bocconi professor Margherita Pagani as Individual academic of the year 2009. The winners were announced in LA during the closing ceremony of the Mobile Marketing Forum, the annual meeting of the Mobile Marketing Association, the organization dedicated to promoting the development and sustainability of mobile marketing. The award is a recognition of her teaching and research work in recent years.

The Mobile Marketing Association groups 700 companies from 40 countries worldwide and each year awards prizes to companies and people who have distinguished themselves in the practice or in the scientific divulgation of mobile marketing. For the nominations for the academic awards the association takes into consideration work done in recent years in terms of publications, teaching and research.

Pagani in recent years has undertaken numerous studies in the field of mobile marketing and, amongst other, teaches e-marketing in Bocconi, carries out research within the Communications future program of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and this year published the second edition of her 'Encyclopedia of Multimedia Technology and Networking' as well as numerous articles on mobile marketing in international academic publications.
