With an jump of 7 places, SDA Bocconi is positioned 17th in the Financial Times rankings. It's the leading Italian school in the international ranking, concluding a 2010 filled with accolades and success

With the success in the FT rankings, Bocconi completes a year of positive performances and recognitions at an international level. The school climbed 7 spots in the FT ranking for 2010 European Business Schools, placing 17th and overtaking the British institutions Imperial College and London School of Economics and Political Sciences.

The position in the FT rankings was possible thanks to outstanding placements obtained by Bocconi in the specialized rankings that FT proposes each year: for MBA programs (14th), the Master in Management (31st for its debut this year) and Executive Education (11th for custom programs and 12th for open enrollment programs).

The only Italian school present in all of the most important international rankings, SDA Bocconi has established itself among the European leaders of higher education. This year, SDA's MBA has in fact entered the Business Week ranking, as well as those from FT and The Economist, placing 18th in the world outside the United States and 12th among European schools. All this is added to the conclusions resulting from the QS rankings which place the SDA Bocconi MBA 5th in Europe, and Bocconi 48th in the world among universities in social sciences and management, an increase of 20 places in one year. It is also place 21st in the world among target universities for recruitment activities.

"The positive results obtained in 2010 concern two fundamental assets for our University," explains Guido Tabellini, Rector of Bocconi. "First of all, the internationalization of our programs translates into increased opportunities for study and internship experiences abroad and more international students and Faculty in a fully intercultural setting. Secondly, there is a solid connection with the business world."

"Our School has surpassed high quality business schools in the latest rankings," explains Alberto Grando, Dean of SDA Bocconi. "Our Master graduates therefore have outstanding credentials in terms of education which they can spend anywhere in the world, no matter which of these rankings is most recognized in the various continents. It is an Italian school for global managers, in perfect harmony with its mission."

The innovative capacity and the quality of SDA programs have been established by several recent recognitions as well. During 2010, SDA regained full accreditation from the most important global accreditation institutions: EQUIS and AMBA.
