Eight Hundred Times Welcome to Bocconi!
There are about 800 students from more than 260 universities around the world who have chosen to spend this semester at Bocconi University. From January 25 to February 7, they are invited to participate in an intensive calendar of welcome activities. From January 25 to February 2, in the atrium of via Sarfatti 25, there will be 4 check-in points available for incoming students, as well as an information Welcome Desk. The activities range from more institutional presentations, such as the Welcome and Orientation Meeting - which will be held on February 1 at 2.30pm in the Aula Magna of Via Roentgen- to guided tours of the campus and of Milan, from opportunities to get to know each other, such as the Speed Exchange, to full immersion sessions on Italian habits and culture, up to an intensive course of Italian language. All these activities will end with a welcome cocktail to be held on February 7 at the Taxi Blues bar of via Brembo 23, starting from 7pm.
The exchange students who spent last semester at Bocconi, appreciated of this university "the courses which were very practical and the various useful and interesting group works, not to mention the strongly international environment," says Larry Goldstein, a French student, "and also the high competence of professors and the various seminars and meetings with leading personalities from the world of business, economics and management", adds Ben Hurbrough, from Texas. Of Milan they appreciated "the fact of being able to arrive almost everywhere by public transport," say Tanya Mykhaylova, Canadian student and Richard J. Shin, from New York, "and a city which is full of history but at the same time modern and avant-garde," adds Richard Greenwald, from Canada. Everyone agrees on the charm of the Duomo, Brera and Navigli, on the passion for Italian food. But what will remain to everyone of this Bocconian experience are the students from all over the world they met, who, in a few months, have turned into great friends.
