With the excellent results posted by Bocconi and SDA Bocconi in the various rankings of FT in 2013, the University ranks 8th among the best schools in Europe. The University can look back on a very postive year in terms of its reputation for quality

In the wake of strong showings in the various specialized rankings published by the Financial Times in 2013, Bocconi ends the year at 8th among the best schools in Europe in the British newspaper's ranking of rankings. Bocconi , the only Italian university in the top 30 of the rankings, reached this position by moving up three spots, surpassing IMD in Lausanne, the Rotterdam School of Management and ESCP Europe.
This latest recognition was made possible thanks to the high placements scored by the programs of Bocconi and SDA Bocconi in the last 12 months. Among those who have improved their positions in the rankings are the Master of Science in International Management at Bocconi which rose to 16th place in Europe, the SDA Bocconi MBA that earned 14th place in Europe, its executive MBA that ranked 28th and the business school's overall executive education offer, which garnered 10th place in Europe. Although not included in the calculation of the ranking of rankings, Bocconi's Master of Science in Finance also moved up, reaching 20th place in the world.
" Our University's position among the top ten in Europe, ahead of universities and business schools of prestige , not only rewards all the efforts made over the years but, above all, recognizes the quality and soundness of the entire offer from Bocconi and SDA Bocconi , classifying us as one of the actors of international reference , "says Stefano Caselli, Bocconi's Vice Rector for International Affairs. "This evaluation crowns a 2013 full of awards that has confirmed SDA Bocconi as the only Italian school present in all the major international rankings. We are very proud of these results, including the fact that international recruiters increasingly appreciate our graduates, " said Bruno Busacca, Dean of SDA Bocconi.

In October, for example , the school was ranked 3rd in the ranking on the best international MBA programs outside the US in the Forbes ranking, and 14th in the ranking of the best MBA in Europe by The Economist. In the World University Rankings by subject, Bocconi rose by 17 steps, positioning itself 29th in the world and 9th in Europe for the social sciences and management. And in the overall standings rating the reputation of graduates among recruiters, Bocconi came in 19th in the world. In other categories rated by World University Rankings, Bocconi was 17th best for economics (5th in Europe) and the 21st place for finance and accounting (4th in Europe).
