Single courses for visiting students

SPRING SEMESTER 2024-25

Bocconi University gives international students the opportunity to take courses at Bocconi on a fee-paying basis.

Only students who are currently enrolled or already graduated in a University abroad can apply to the Visiting students/Free-movers program.

Based on our experience we usually welcome each semester up to 200 incoming visiting students.

Students who are admitted to the program are required to take a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 courses per semester.

Due to the increasing number of applications in the recent years, Bocconi university cannot guarantee that all students who express interest in a course will be able to secure a spot, as a limited number of places will be made available for each course (see section “Choosing and confirming your choices” for further details).

Courses are available from both the Undergraduate and Graduate Schools portfolio.

Please note that:

  • courses marked with G-School (course code beginning with “2”) are at a graduate level
  • courses marked with UG-School (course code beginning with “3”) are undergraduate courses
  • courses of the Law School are marked with Law-School (course code beginning with “5”) and are at a graduate level.
  • Graduate students are allowed to choose from both undergraduate and graduate-level courses without any restrictions.
  • Undergraduate students may only choose undergraduate-level courses. An exception is made for undergraduate students in their final year of a 4-year program, who may request to enroll in graduate-level courses.

COURSE CAPACITY

To manage class sizes, a limited number of spots will be made available for visiting students for each course (around 10-15). Courses registration is handled on a first-come, first-served basis, so it’s important to confirm your course choices promptly and to submit the application to secure your place.

FIRST WEEK OF CLASSES

During the first week of the semester, students will have the opportunity to attend all the courses initially selected. This trial period allows you to confirm that the course content, schedule, and overall fit align with your academic interests and goals.

ATTENTION: placement in the chosen course depends on both the course's availability and admission to the program. To ensure that course choices are properly recorded in the system, it is essential that students not only save their data but also complete and submit their applications promptly. This will help secure a place in the desired courses.

Additionally, we kindly ask students to make informed course selections by consulting the class schedules and exam dates to avoid any scheduling conflicts.

After submission, no changes to the study plan will be possible; only one modification will be permitted during the enrollment phase.

In order to complete their enrollment, applicants need to log back in to MyApplication portal in order to:

  1. CONFIRM THEIR FINAL COURSE SELECTION
After attending the selected courses in the first week, applicants will need to confirm their final course choices. Students are required to finalize the enrollment by selecting at least 2 courses, with a maximum of 4 for the semester.
    • Students who have selected 4 courses: are allowed to either drop one course or change one course in their courses’ selection
    • All other students: may add courses to reach a maximum of 4 courses in total until spots last.

  2. FINALIZING THEIR ENROLLMENT
After confirming the course choices and making any allowable changes, students will need to finalize their enrollment. This includes:
    1. Paying the enrollment fee (a flat fee of €1800 per course) through the Bocconi Store.
    2. Submitting any other required documentation for the completion of the enrollment.
