Drink Sustainably!

THE FIRST STEP TOWARDS A PLASTIC-FREE CAMPUS

B-Sustainable is a University initiative aimed at promoting sustainability on the Bocconi campus. B-Sustainable’s actions are all about confirming our community as a force for environmental responsibility and social progress.

Eliminating plastic is one purpose of B-Sustainable as well as reducing waste on campus, including water itself.  THE GOAL IS NO PLASTIC WASTE, AND LESS WASTED WATER. Therefore, the University offers filtered drinking water at dispensers placed around campus for free, instead of buying plastic bottles. Getting rid of water bottle vending machines will save, on average, every year:

• 700,000 half-liter bottles, or 8,400 kg of PET from the bottles that are not used
• 66,400 kWh of electricity after deducting the use of water fountains
  

All first-year students receive a Bocconi water bottle included their welcome kits during Welcome Days. Bocconi water bottles will be available for purchase at the Egea bookshop.
