With an aim towards fostering greater diversity and inclusion in the classroom, students in IM CEMS MIM, IM Asia, and IM Concentrations may attend first-year classes with students from other IM programs.
Regarding the IM Global Experience and Finance Global Experience programs, the goal is to form classes that are as diverse as possible in terms of nationality, gender, and background. These factors may influence the admission decisions. As a result, candidates' profiles will be reviewed by the Program Directors during the selection process. Therefore, Bocconi applicants will not be assigned the usual 65% of places available, normally allocated to Bocconi students in MSc programs.
Both programs contribute to Bocconi University's standing in international rankings.
All applicants may select up to 5 programs in the Bocconi application.
Please note that:
- Students must select each program of interest as a separate program choice when applying for admission;
- IM CEMS MIM, IM Asia China MIM, and IM Asia DD Bocconi-Essec are considered separate choices;
- applicants to the Bocconi-LSE Double Degree and Bocconi-Science Po Double Degree must complete a different specific application.
Applicants to the Master’s Degree in Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence in Health Sciences (DAIHS) are required to complete a specific application on the Humanitas University web portal. Applications will be carefully examined by a joint committee of representatives from Humanitas University and Bocconi University.
In the 5 selection rounds, International candidates are selected on the basis of a process that takes into consideration all elements of their profile, focusing on 3 compulsory elements of evaluation (applications will not be evaluated if any of the 3 following elements is missing):
-
Results of the GMAT/GRE test or the Bocconi online test
Check the threshold scores required to participate in the selection process.
If you have multiple test scores, you can upload them to your application. The system will automatically take the most competitive score into account.
- Grade point average of exams passed in the Undergraduate program
The undergraduate GPA and transcripts indicate the applicant's previous academic performance. No particular scores are required to participate in the selections.
- Evaluation of the Dossier and Motivation
The Director of the Master of Science program will evaluate the various documents and information included in the dossier and verify the applicant's overall profile, experience, and knowledge.
The Dossier/Motivation supporting the candidate's application must be in English.
You can also upload a Video presentation (optional) in English as an additional element to your application. Please consider that the video presentation is not mandatory for the selection, but can be an additional opportunity for students coming from international Universities. The video must be recorded in English.
Within your application, you will be able to record your video presentation. You will find all the information you need to prepare directly in the application. Specifically, you will be asked to respond to the following questions/statements:
- Self-presentation
- Why do you consider yourself a person with a pronounced international attitude?
- How do you evaluate your ability to go beyond your "comfort zone" and face complex situations?
IM CEMS MIM, IM Asia - China MIM, and IM Asia - Bocconi-ESSEC Double Degrees: further elements of evaluation are required (a personal statement and a COMPULSORY video presentation) for applicants to the IM CEMS MIM and/or IM Asia Bocconi-ESSEC Double Degree international programs, which strongly weighs qualitative/motivational aspects.
For the video presentation dedicated to the Special Programs, you will need to answer the following questions:
- What strategies do you plan to use to balance the academic and social challenges that come with studying in different educational systems and cultures?
- How do you plan to leverage the unique opportunities offered by studying in different countries to achieve your academic and career goals?
- If you had to choose just one value that is important to you, what would it be? Can you describe a situation in which you put it into practice or a situation in which you discovered its importance?
Applicants can enter the selection process if they acquire/have acquired a valid and recognized 1st cycle qualification (Undergraduate level). Check here those considered valid and recognized.
- The qualification must be acquired by and no later than October 2025 or the first graduation session available after the summer break, if available after October 2025.
- Students enrolled in the IM Asia CHINA MIM program must obtain their Bachelor's degree by June 2025.
Preferential consideration for admission is given to applicants whose undergraduate work is still underway or was concluded less than two years before the moment of application. Applicants with other profiles are considered subsequently.
Students enrolled in a Double Degree program should participate in admissions according to the first University of enrollment. For example, students enrolled in a Russian University for a Double Degree program with an Italian University should participate in the admissions process as International Applicants.
If you are enrolled in a Double Degree program that includes a year of study at Bocconi, we invite you to verify your specific case with the Admissions Office to determine the correct applicant category.
For selection purposes, English certifications are not required, BUT, in case of admission, a valid English language requirement MUST be provided by the enrollment deadline and in any case by the end of June 2025.
We invite candidates to check here the English language requirements needed in case of admission.
