Valentina Bosetti, a Scientist for the Department of Economics
Valentina Bosetti, a researcher of Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei, becomes associate professor of the Department of Economics from September 2012. Her study path started with a degree in Environmental Sciences, continued with a master in Environmental Economics from University College London thanks to the study grant from English Nature, the British government agency for natural conservation, and ended with a PhD in Computational Mathematics and Operational Research from Università degli Studi di Milano.
Bosetti taught at Università degli Studi Milano Bicocca and Università di Sassari and published several papers on the issues of environmental and resources economics, with a special focus on energy and climate change.
She is currently the principal investigator of project ICARUS (Innovation for climate change mitigation: a study of energy R&d, its uncertain effectiveness and spillovers), funded by European Research Council (ERC) for the years 2010-2013.
