A piano for Kiana Reid

Thursday 28 February 2019, the concert of the Japanese pianist who played for the emperor

Twenty-four years, but already award-winning internationally, Kiana reid will be in Bocconi (aula Magna via Gobbi 5 9P.M.), Thursday 28 February for one of the concert evenings organized by ISU Bocconi and Furcht Pianoforti.

The program

First part: Robert Schumann - Davidsbundlertanze op. 6

Second part: Sergej Rachmaninov - Piano sonata nr. 2 in si Bemolle minore op. 36 (ver. 1931); Fyderyk Chopin - 4 Mazurche op. 30 e Nicolaj Kapustin - Varizioni op. 41.

Kiana Reid, born in Japan in 1995 and an emerging star of international piano music, began studying piano at the age of 6. At 11 sche got the first prize at the PTNA Piano competition. In March 2017 she graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts as best student and performed for Japanese emperor. She regularly holds concerts in Japan and has performed in Italy, Austria, South Korea and Taiwan with important artists and orchestras.
