He joins the Department of Policy Analysis and Public Management

Paolo Pinotti joins Bocconi's Department of Policy Analysis and Public Management as assistant professor in the academic year 2011-2012 coming from Banca d'Italia, where he was economist in the Research Department, Structural Economic Analysis.

Having also studied at Bocconi and University of Chicago, he gained his PhD at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and has been visiting researcher at Harvard University.His recent research works are about immigration and crime (for which he's the recipient of grants from Collegio Carlo Alberto, Centro Studi Economici Antonveneto and W.E. Upjohn Institute) and his research interests cover applied econometrics, political economy, law and economics and labour economics.
