Nicola Pavoni, a Return to Italy

After an M.A. in Applied Economics at CORIPE, Università di Torino's Consortium for Research and Continuing Education in Economics, in 1995 and a PhD in Mathematics for Economic Decisions at Università di Trieste, Nicola Pavoni's academic career always developed abroad, first at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, then at University College London. In the academic year 2010-2011, finally, he comes back to Italy joining Università Bocconi's Department of Economics. He left a position as full professor in London and gained the same position in Milan.
He's been visiting scholar at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, New York University, Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, University of Rochester, and Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
His research interests range from macroeconomic theory and applied microeconomics to economics of information, from consumption theory to dynamic programming.
Co-editor of The B.E. Journal of Macroeconomics, he's referee for scores of journals, including Econometrica, American Economic Review and Journal of Political Economy.
In 2002 he received the Young Economist Award from the European Economic Association, and in 2008 he obtained the prestigious Starting Grant from European Research Council.
