The Institute for the Blind Joins Bocconi for the Development of the Campus

, by Andrea Celauro
A memorandum of understanding has been signed: the nonprofit organization, which has been collaborating with the University for years, will provide advice for improving the usability of University spaces

The continuous development of the Bocconi campus also involves improving its accessibility, and for this reason Bocconi University has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Milan Institute for the Blind. According to the document, the Institute will make its know-how available to provide consultancy for the design, analysis, development, and testing of the changes implemented by the University. The target? Improve the use and accessibility of outdoor areas, building entrances, and internal spaces of the University.

The memorandum of understanding is part of an already active collaboration between Bocconi and the Milan Institute for the Blind. Over the years, this cooperation has involved supporting users with visual disabilities, consulting on specific IT issues and for the implementation by the University of assistive technologies.
