From snorkeling masks transformed into respirators for Covid patients to robots for the delivery of medicines and for the disinfestation of hospital departments, the pandemic was accompanied, and in part made more controllable, thanks to product and process innovations developed by startups and businesses. This is the starting point of the fourth episode of Live Executive Chats, the cycle of online meetings in which the Rector of Bocconi, Gianmario Verona, discusses the impacts of the health emergency with two guests. On Friday 5 June at 5:15pm, at the heart of the debate will be Diego Piacentini, senior advisor of private equity firm KKR (among other things), and Saeed Amidi, CEO of Plug and Play, a leading open innovation platform.

Plug and Play brings together the best startups and the largest companies in the world, and is one of the most active venture capital players. It is highly active in the debate on Innovation and entrepreneuship in times of Covid19, and last week became a Bocconi partner in the context of B4i - Bocconi for innovation, the Uuniversity's Milanese accelerator.
