A Grant to Strengthen Cybersecurity Strategies
Today the use of internet is pervasive, and as technology advances, so do the issues related to cyberspace. Greta Nasi, Associate Professor at Bocconi's Department of Social and Political Sciences, is the Director of the project Global Resilience for National Cybersecurity: Strengthening the Interconnections Among Actors, which received a grant from the US Embassy for building a cross-national understanding of how to improve cybersecurity in complex, interconnected domains.
This project represents a cultural dialogue between the United States, Europe and Italy, aiming to the strengthen the interconnections among all major stakeholders to national cybersecurity in these countries. Therefore, the project tries to understand what allied countries should focus on in setting policies, which will be then translated into actions.
To do so, the project has organized six hybrid workshops. Each of them will focus on a specific aspect of cybersecurity, unpacking the needs of both public and private actors, firms and individuals. Moreover, the key takeaways of each workshop will be reworked to be published as podcasts.
The project started in September 2022 and will finish in May 2023, involving researchers from Bocconi (Colin MacArthur), and Army Cyber Institute, United States Military Academy (Margaret Smith), other experts from public institutions, universities, private firms operating in critical infrastructures, and individuals.
