Monica Iacono, CEO of Engie Italia, discusses with Rector Gianmario Verona in the latest Executive Chats episode

Going green and digital and dialoguing with younger generations is key today for an energy company, highlights Monica Iacono, CEO of Engie Italia, in a conversation in the Executive Chats series with Rector Gianmario Verona.
"Our main mission is to lead to net zero carbon by 2045 and to also lead customers on their decarbonization path," she says. "And innovation is a key to this – not just technological but also economic, social and environmental."
"Green gases will be one of the main elements to help us decarbonize and we have several pilot projects on this," she adds. "Digitalization will also be key and support the process of decarbonization. Our digital platform for example is key for our smart mobility and smart city strategy."
Sustainability is also key to dialoguing with the younger generations. "In choosing a job, young people today pay a lot of attention to the purpose and mission of a company. Inclusion is also important. We focus a lot on promoting gender parity and diversity."
