Emanuele Borgonovo Is DAS President Elect
Emanuele Borgonovo, Full professor at Bocconi's Department of Decision Sciences, is the new President Elect of the Decision Analysis Society (DAS), the international association that promotes the development and use of logical methods for improving decision-making in public and private enterprises.
DAS has more than 1,000 members that include practitioners, educators, and researchers with backgrounds in engineering, business, economics, statistics, psychology, and other social and applied sciences. DAS is a subdivision of INFORMS, the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences.
As the President Elect, Prof. Borgonovo will act as a Vice President, assisting President Karen Jenni in her duties for the next two years, until succeeding her at the end of this term.
As a member of DAS Board, Prof. Borgonovo is organizing Advances in Decision Analysis (ADA 2019), a conference that aims to bring together scientists working in decision analysis, broadly defined. The conference will provide a platform for interdisciplinary discussions and will include talks by researchers in decision analysis, behavioral economics, judgment and decision-making, machine learning, statistics, and other related disciplines with a prescriptive focus. ADA 2019 will take place at Bocconi University on June 19-21, 2019.
