Charles Williams, Why Firms Evolve
Charles Williams joins Bocconi's Department of Management and Technology as an assistant professor in the academic year 2011-2012. Previously, he served as an assistant professor of strategy at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and University of Illinois' College of Business, and he earned his PhD in corporate strategy at the University of Michigan in 2003.
Williams' research explores how knowledge, people, and structure shape the evolution of firms. His research has appeared in Strategic Management Journal and Management Science, and he serves on the editorial boards of Strategic Management Journal and Organization Science.Before beginning his academic career, he worked as a researcher in television documentaries (for CNN and other producers) and the telecommunications industry (at Pyramid Research and the Economist Intelligence Unit).
