Change at the Top of Bocconi Research Centers
Changing of the guard at the helm of Bocconi University's Research Centers. In fact, six new Directors took office with the new year: Massimiliano Marcellino (BAFFI), Antonio Lijoi (BIDSA), Guido Alfani (DONDENA), Italo Colantone (GREEN), Nilanjana Dutt (ICRIOS), and Thomas Le Barbanchon (IGIER).
Research Centers are university structures dedicated to the development of advanced and innovative studies in specific areas of knowledge. They bring together faculty, researchers, doctoral students and often collaborate with public institutions, companies and international organizations to conduct interdisciplinary research projects. Their goal is the production of new scientific knowledge, the solving of complex problems and the dissemination of results through publications, conferences and training activities. The Centers, precisely because of their interdisciplinary nature, unite researchers from different departments at Bocconi and from other universities as well, with an autonomous identity that enhances their lines of research also in relation to possible external counterparts and donors.
