A positive 360° assessment, from teaching to research to quality of graduates, has been awarded to Bocconi in the new 2019 QS World University Rankings by Subject published today. The University places in fact in the top positions in Europe in all its three subject areas.

In the Business & Management area Bocconi is 8th in the world, gaining two positions, and 4th in Europe (level with LSE); in Accounting & Finance it ranks 18th worldwide, climbing eleven positions, and 6th in Europe; and for Economics & Econometrics it confirms 16th place in the world, 4th in Europe, and first in continental Europe behind only LSE, Oxford and Cambridge.

"The QS ranking is the one that best captures all aspects relevant to measuring the reputation and attractiveness of a university in various disciplines at worldwide level. And our university has been following a path for many years now that places it in the leading positions in Europe and also enables it to compete with the best schools in the world," comments Stefano Caselli, Dean for International Affairs at Bocconi.

The ranking put together by QS, the international network dedicated to education and the professions, includes 48 different rankings divided by subject area and overall around 1,200 universities in 78 countries were assessed. The ranking is created by evaluating four parameters: academic reputation based on a survey of academics (83,000 worldwide), reputation among employers based on the opinions of 42,000 recruiters, research citations per paper and the H-Index, which measures the number and impact of research publications.
