Bringing Ferrero into the Third Millennium

, by Andrea Celauro
The sixth episode of Svolte, through the testimony of Giuseppe Addezio, chief hr and organization officer, addresses the growth of the company and the choice to turn to SDA Bocconi, with an ad hoc program, to train its management

How can Ferrero's identity and values be preserved even during the challenges of the third millennium, what some call 'ferrerità'? Giuseppe Addezio, chief hr and organization officer of the company with 40 thousand employees worldwide, and Giuseppe Soda, Dean of SDA Bocconi School of Management, respond in the sixth episode of Svolte. The video series was created by SDA Bocconi and Corriere della Sera to tell about how executive training can change the lives of individuals and companies.

"We are diversifying, entering from chocolate into what is called 'between meal sweets' and we are also growing a lot by acquisition", explains Addezio. "We have acquired 11 companies in 6 years in the United States, England, Denmark, Spain and Belgium." A growth that makes the company "big and attractive, but not presumptuous", as the deputy director of the Corriere Daniele Manca comments during the interview, so unpresumptuous, in fact, as to ask for help through education at SDA Bocconi to grow.

"We started with SDA a journey that allowed us to anticipate a turning point that later the pandemic would force everyone to do,"explains Soda. "We have created an ad hoc program that has an important component of distance learning."
