Bocconi Ever More European

, by Andrea Celauro
An agreement has been signed with the European University Institute for an exchange for two students from the Master of Science in Government and International Organization and the Master of Science in Politics and Policy Analysis

Bocconi is expanding its network of collaborations in European studies thanks to a new agreement signed with the European University Institute (EUI), an international academic institution that operates in the field of higher education and research in the social sciences. The agreement provides for exchanges for two graduate students from two Bocconi degree programs, the MSc in Economics and Management of Government and International Organization and the MSc in Politics and Policy Analysis (for the first year of the agreement, the selected students will come from the former program). They will attend courses in the Master program in Transnational Governance, held by the EUI School of Transnational Governance. The agreement also provides for the possibility for joint research and work between the two universities' PhD programs as well as the organization of seminars and conferences during which the results of joint research and analysis can be disseminated.

"The new exchange agreement will allow our students to have an intense experience of study, networking and above all exposure to debate on the main policy issues of the European Union," explains Stefano Caselli, Dean for International Affairs at Bocconi University. "In the historical phase we are experiencing, it is an opportunity that certainly enriches the training path of our grad students in Government and International Organization and in Politics and Policy Analysis."

Founded in 1972, the European University Institute is an international organization with twenty-three EU member states that hosts an international research community of more than 1,100 people. The EUI has a threefold mandate: to provide PhD and postdoctoral students with advanced research training; to promote research and analysis relating to the process of European integration and policy changes in Europe and around the world; and to provide training for government and business leaders and policy makers.

Furthermore, the EUI is the seat of the Historical Archives of the European Union.
