Baiman Strenghtens the Department of Accounting

He joins Bocconi as adjunct professor coming from Wharton

Stanley Baiman joins Bocconi's Department of Accounting in the academic year 2011-2012 as adjunct professor from University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, where he covered the position of professor of accounting and chaired the Department of Accounting from 1997 until 2004.

After a PhD at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business in 1974, Baiman, before joining Wharton, taught and researched at the graduate schools of Carnegie-Mellon University, Stanford University and University of Pittsburgh and had a sabbatical in 2004 at London School of Economics and Stanford University.

He's the author of more than 35 peer reviewed articles and contributions to books or monographs. He sits on the editorial board of Accounting, Organizations and Society and is editor of Review of Accounting Studies.

He's the recipient of a Notable Contribution to Management Accounting Literature Award from the American Accounting Association.
