Ariela Caglio (Department of Accounting) is one of the five members of the new Standing Scientific Committee (SCC) of the European Accounting Association (EAA).

Coordinated by a chair (currently HEC Paris' Hervé Stolowy), the SCC defines the scientific programme of the annual EAA congress (the next one will be held in Paris, 6-8 May 2013). The members remain in office for three years.

Established in 1977, "The EAA", as its website states, "aims to link together the Europe-wide community of accounting scholars and researchers, to provide a platform for the wider dissemination of European accounting research, and to foster and improve research".
