Angela Pettinicchio, from Practitioning to Researching
Angela Pettinicchio joins Bocconi's Department of Accounting as assistant professor in the academic year 2010-2011 after a PhD in Finance, with a specialization in accounting, gained at Cass Business School.
In the years following her graduation at Bocconi Pettinicchio alternated some research work at the University with an auditing job at a big firm. An 18-month stint as research assistant at Bocconi in the mid-00s convinced her to choose the academic career and to apply for the Cass Business School PhD.
Her main research interests are audit quality, audit pricing and IFRS introduction. Pettinicchio has published two articles in international journals developing the topic of her MSc thesis (auditors reputation) and a couple of chapters in books.
